Fitness is the dream of many people, from young to old, every once in a while we look at ourselves and wish we were fit but we then look at some wrestling stars or bodybuilders and feel demotivated at once. However, there are a lot of ways we can stay fit (not bodybuilding) but fit and in good shape.
5 ideas in 20 minutes seem to be too short for great results but they can yield great results if used well. 20 minutes are not little, you’ll actually feel that they are many.
In the 5 ideas, I’ll mention a few sports that you can do in 20 minutes not even at the gym, but at your home.
Pushups are a great way to exercise the upper part of your body, they in particular work on these muscles: chest muscles, or pectorals, shoulders, or deltoids, back of your arms, or triceps, Abdominals, and the “wing” muscles directly under your armpit called the serratus anterior.
If you can do from 10-20 pushups every day in 4 minutes it will be a great start, if you are just starting off, you can do 5-10 pushups and will increase as you get used. Find how to do the perfect push-ups (here).
The squats are another type of full-body sport to do in your 20 minutes exercise, squats work on primarily the muscles of the thighs, hips, and buttocks, quadriceps femoris muscle as well as strengthening the bones.
You can do 10-20 squats every day after your push-ups also this won’t take as much time when you will be used to it. How to do squats(here).
3. Jump Rope
Jump rope or skipping is a sport which can be taken as a cardiovascular workout, similar to jogging or bicycle riding. Researchers state that about 0.1 to nearly 1.1 calories consumed per jump, and that about 700 calories -1200 calories are burnt in one hour.
For this kind of sport, you can take at least 2 rounds of 5-10 jumps to fall in the right time of the 20 minutes. How to do jump-rope(here).
Burpees are also a full body exercise to do, but as there are many kinds, you can do the simplest that doesn’t need equipment. A burpee is kind of squat exercise but for them, you stand and till you lay like you are doing push-ups. How to do burpees(here).
All the above exercises are very important and work almost every part of the body excluding the belly, but with sit-ups, you’ll be able to work on your abdominal muscles.
This is one of the hardest and hard sport to do as a beginner but nothing is easy, however, if you are determined to work on your body, you’ll make it, you can do also 10-20 simple situps every day as part of the other mentioned sports you can do. How to do sit-ups(here).
If you do this every day, you’ll realize changes within the first week, your muscles will be in shape and you’ll be fit. After a month you’ll see that there is no much need for going to the gym. Results will have become more awesome.
