Burundi’s Intambamurugamba U-20 beats Uganda Cranes U-17 by two to nil.

In preparations to attend the Africa Cup of Nations in February, Burundi’s Intambamurugamba beats Uganda cranes U-17 in a friend-match 2 goals over 0.

Tuesday,15, January at Prince Louis Rwagasore field, Burundi U-20 National Team Intambamurugamba hosted a friend game against Uganda Cranes U-17 in preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations U-20 which will be held in Niger, February,2nd.

The match started at 3:00 pm.in the first half time, Burundi’s Intambamurugamba seemed to dominate the match.

At the 7th minute of the match, Intambamurugamba striker Cedric Mavugo, Rodi Mavugo’s little brother scored the first goal for his team. The goal leads Intambamurugamba victory until the first half time.

The second half time seemed very hard on the part of Intambamurugamba just when Uganda Cranes were eagerly looking for the victory. They hopelessly ended in failure.

Intambamurugamba right-winger, Kanakimana Bienvenue from The Black Eagle scored his most impressive goal at 74th minute which leads Burundi to a victory of 2 goals over 0 of Uganda Cranes.

The match ended in a victory of 2 goals for Intambamurugamba over 0 for Uganda Cranes.

“This is a challenge to me and my team,” Said Uganda Cranes Coach in an interview after the defeat.

“I am going to work hard with all my effort to strengthen my team because I still have enough time of preparations for the AFCON U-17 games which we will be held in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania.” He added.

“Our target is to win the Africa Cup Of Nations U-20”. The second goal scorer for Intambamurugamba Kanakimana Bienvenue said.

“Even though we win this match, I am not happy.” Said Joslin Bipfubusa, Intambamurugamba Coach.

“I am not satisfied with the way my players have played, They were enough trained, but they didn’t show their best even if they win the match.” He added.

Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON U-20) 2019

Burundi Intambamurugamba is will open the first Africa Cup of Nations U-20(AFCON) games against Niger the host country, which will be played in February, 2nd in Niger.

Inatambamurugamba is in Group A alongside South-Africa, Niger (the host country), and Nigeria.

In Group B – Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana.

Uganda Cranes qualified in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON U-17) 2019

Uganda Cranes are qualified in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON U-17) which will be held in Dar-es-Salaam with other countries like Tanzania (Host Country), Angola, Cameroun, Guinea, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal.
