Meddy has announced to postpone his Concerts in Burundi.

Rwandan Afro-Pop artist, popularly known as MEDDY has announced to postpone his two Concerts in Burundi.

After announcing through his Instagram page that he would be performing on the two Concerts which would take place on Saturday 29, and Sunday 30, December in BUJUMBURA.

Thursday 27 in the morning, Meddy has announced through his Instagram page that all the two  Concerts planned in Bujumbura have been postponed.

He has written: “MEDDY’CONCERT IN BURUNDI POSTPONED

To our dear fans, Meddy’s management is sad to announce that we will, unfortunately, have to postpone our upcoming shows in Burundi due to security concerns.

The Concerts at “Rue de l’UPRONA and LACOSTA BEACH” Have been rescheduled. New dates will be announced in the near future. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience.

To everyone who bought tickets, we appreciate you so much, you will be reimbursed, we hope partying with you soon.

MEDDY MANAGEMENT.”

MEDDY was to supposed to be accompanied by other best Burundian artists like SAT B the hitmaker of FEEL LOVE and NO LOVE, R- FLOW, IRY TINA and K.O.D the best dance group in town.

It’s not only Meddy who ditched Burundi show but also Rwanda’s BRUCE MELODY canceled his two concerts in Burundi the one that was planned on CHRISTMASS in BUJUMBURA and the other in NGOZI.

What has pushed MEDDY to postpone his concerts in Bujumbura?

Meddy has postponed his performance in BUJUMBURA for the fear of his safety.

In addition, throughout the opinion of different people, they assert that even the state of political communication between BURUNDI and RWANDA could be the cause of the failure of Rwandan artists to come to perform on such concerts.

All in all, MEDDY and BRUCE MELODY have ditched to come while Burundi had continued to receive famous artists from different countries like SAUTI SOL from Kenya, FALLY IPUPA from Congo,YVAN BURAVAN from Rwanda, JUX, NEY WAMITEGO and NAVY KENZO from Tanzania.
