TransUnion Africa has appointed Jacqueline Mugwaneza as its new country manager in Rwanda as part of the company’s vision to raise its profile in the market and promote greater financial inclusion.
‘Mugwaneza, who took up her new role on 15 November, has extensive knowledge of the Rwandan financial sector, having spent eight years as the Chief Executive Officer of the Rwanda Bankers’

TransUnion has expanded to other parts of the globe, especially in Africa, in countries like Rwanda, Zambia, Kenya, South Africa.
“For TransUnion, broadening our presence in Africa is part of our strategy to open opportunities for both businesses and consumers, helping to fuel economic growth in these evolving credit markets,” said Edward Khoury, group CEO TransUnion Africa, one magazine reports.
On of its ethics is that TransUnion associates who have access to non-public consumer information are always expected to manage that information appropriately and are strictly prohibited from obtaining or modifying consumer or customer information, products or services offered by the company except when appropriate.

development strategy in the Rwandan market as the company looks to increase its market relevance by
growing the breadth of solutions, and assisting consumers and organizations with information and risk
According to the press release obtained by RegionWeek, Mugwaneza’s early goals will be to accelerate awareness of TransUnion’s Menyesha (Inform Me) solution, which allows consumers access to their credit information via SMS.
“Menyesha is an important part of our role of enabling consumers to be more informed around their credit and financial status and helping encourage the necessary behavioral changes to maintain a healthy credit status. This empowers them to achieve their personal objectives, whether it’s purchasing a house or accessing a loan to further their studies,” explained Reimers.
